Distracted by GOD’s Goodness

Posted on

I heard the devil gloating the other day. He stuck out his tongue at me (the nerve) and boasted of a conquest. He had succeeded in blinding a group of people as he moves to his next level of attack in this particular situation. I threw my hands in the air and for one split second entertained a thought of disgust and frustration. Then my God arose immediately with healing and comfort in His wings. Sent His word and revelation through His wonderful and ‘in-tune’ under-shepherds and sent me on my way. His goodness and loving kindness, caused me to look away from what would vex my soul and grieve the Spirit of God in me.

I am incredibly blessed!!! The amount of love, fellowship, comfort and care that was bestowed on me this past week (by friends, family, well-wishers and strangers alike); as divinely orchestrated by this awesome God of mine was unexpected and mind-boggling to say the least. I am grateful and even more fired-up to give my wonderful God His due praise!

The religious elitist and supremacist may keep up with their snide remarks, as they encourage and protect Baal. I will keep looking to the hills from whence cometh my help, and rejoice with the seven thousand (7000) that are unmoved by the smoothness of the snake and therefore unbowed…

“I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.”
1 Kings 19:17-19

God has not only promised me, but He has shown me that there are so many with me, howbeit in spirit than there are with the ‘movers and shakers’.  My favorite preacher always says, “when you have got nothing to lose, you have nothing to fear”. Let the fearful and unbelieving, remain trapped with their high stakes. It is well with me and I rest my case. Let events unfold as they soon horribly will; while I abide under the shadow of the Almighty. This is not a prophecy, just a fact.

14“Therefore sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host: and they came by night, and compassed the city about.

15And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?

16And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

17And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

18And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.”

May the will of the Almighty God be done in our midst.
