Quintessential Quotes (For these last days)

Posted on

The post before this; ‘Half-Time and Hellish-Trip’, spoke about the invasion of the occult in America. Earlier this morning I got a revelation that it was well and active in the Church of Jesus Christ and they are slowly but surely manifesting. Please stay tuned for the next very revealing blog…

QUOTES:

It is redundant to think that you can hurt or affect one who dwells and abides under the shadow of the Almighty with trivial showmanship and resources best used for the glory of God the provider. Only a reprobate mind-set for a huge fall, proceeds thus. “When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.” Psalm 27:1-3

I think it is the ultimate form of pride to be a perpetual offender who does not fear God, but fervently demands forgiveness and condemns through that demand, the people they enjoy offending. Here is how I would go about it; first repent (HONESTLY!) before God. Then as much as lieth in me, try to make right what I did wrong. After which I humbly stay in an attitude of sincere prayer… leaving the outcome to an awesome God. Accusing the offended of not forgiving, reeks of foolish pride and cold-heartedness! – CHIDIWE

Actually, I can be very effective in the kingdom of God with a hand full of stones. Every time I hurl a stone at the ‘works of darkness’, God Himself gives me a smile and a nod.- CHIDIWE

It is quite irritating when people use scriptures for condoning wicked acts, thereby mis-interpreting the whole message. In John 8:10-11, after Christ exonerated the woman from being stoned. He tells her “… GO AND SIN NO MORE”. Basically our Lord was saying, I do not condemn you because I expect you will not sin again or live a life of sin.- CHIDIWE

“Who are you mocking? At whom do you sneer and stick out your tongue? Are you not a brood of rebels, the offspring of liars?” Isaiah 57:3-5

“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” Revelation 21:7-9

Repentance /AND/ Renewal /NOT/ Resolution

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”  Romans 12:2  (KJV)

“But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.”
Galatians 4:22-24  (KJV)

“Paul was not dealing with sin in this chapter of Galatians, but with the relation of the natural to the spiritual. The natural can be turned into the spiritual only through sacrifice. Without this a person will lead a divided life. Why did God demand that the natural must be sacrificed? God did not demand it. It is not God’s perfect will, but His permissive will. God’s perfect will was for the natural to be changed into the spiritual through obedience. Sin is what made it necessary for the natural to be sacrificed.

Abraham had to offer up Ishmael before he offered up Isaac (see Genesis 21:8-14). Some of us are trying to offer up spiritual sacrifices to God before we have sacrificed the natural. The only way we can offer a spiritual sacrifice to God is to “present [our] bodies a living sacrifice . . .” (Romans 12:1). Sanctification means more than being freed from sin. It means the deliberate commitment of myself to the God of my salvation, and being willing to pay whatever it may cost.

If we do not sacrifice the natural to the spiritual, the natural life will resist and defy the life of the Son of God in us and will produce continual turmoil. This is always the result of an undisciplined spiritual nature. We go wrong because we stubbornly refuse to discipline ourselves physically, morally, or mentally. We excuse ourselves by saying, “Well, I wasn’t taught to be disciplined when I was a child.” Then discipline yourself now! If you don’t, you will ruin your entire personal life for God.

God is not actively involved with our natural life as long as we continue to pamper and gratify it. But once we are willing to put it out in the desert and are determined to keep it under control, God will be with it. He will then provide wells and oases and fulfill all His promises for the natural”  (TOotN/MUFHH/OC)

“And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.”

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:1-3 (NIV)

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”  Romans 12:2  (NLV)

God will not give a new revelation or promise to an unrepentant and old mind-set. When there is a turn around and acceptance of His ways, then there is a release of the flood gates of direction and favor. An old and flesh oriented mind-set (unrenewed), cannot handle the things and ways of the Spirit of God.

“And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.” Mark 2:21-23

“And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.” Luke 5:37-38

Comments that make you go hmmmmmm…

PS: It always feels good to return a package sent by the devil, and set his compound ablaze. Hmmmmmm….this is one of those blissful moments. Three sleepless nights in a row; and you better believe I have got something to show for it.

I had this spot in school, where I used to like to study and do my research.  Over time, people would stop by to talk, (uninvited mind you).  They talked about everything from politics, cooking, culture, religion and so on and so forth. The frequent traffic and visitations had chased me from a previous spot, I felt maybe the reason people would not leave me alone was because they could spot me easily. So of to a new hidden section did I go. The only person allowed there was my German friend ‘U’ (who is an Obstetrician as we speak). She was very intelligent and understood me better than most. Together we studied and chatted as I struggled to disperse the ever intruding crowd. I tried being nasty, but the people only came back to me to find out if I was feeling okay; according to them it was uncharacteristic of me (shocking observation). Then I feigned a throbbing headache and ended up with a ‘Pharmaceutical’ collection on my study table. Finally, I just ignored them; but wouldn’t you know it, people tripped onto my table,  fell out on it while passing through or plainly lost their way and thought my table was theirs. A couple of times, fights broke out right under my chin. I was at my wit’s end with disgust one day when the Lord broke into my thoughts… “How would you rather have it,” asked the Lord. My presence in your life drawing them (the seekers, knowers and devil possessed alike) or my absence as you focus on building a tower on this side of eternity. I was really not ready to answer that question, all I wanted was some peace and quiet in a public place. They really did not affect my class work or grades; (thank God Almighty) I have been blessed with a strange but completely different and unaffected legal way of gleaning information.

After weeks and months of deliberating this bothersome (at least to me) issue before the Lord, I decided to take a break, get away completely and see what happens.  I was gone for about a week, when I got a call from ‘U’ the German Doctor. “Where are you”, she asked frantically. I was taking a rest I told her and wondered if something bad had happened to her. No she said, but it felt weird since I had been gone. How so I wondered out loud. The place was deafeningly quiet. No one had stopped by the whole week not even to say hello to ‘U’ and the other students that had started to collect there as  a study group.

“They were coming for you the whole time”, exclaimed ‘U’. “I know that feeling,” said U, ‘It feels peaceful and assuring’. That is why I wanted to study with you all this while. There is just something about you that makes us want to come close. Please do not get mad if we are clumsy about the way we do it. We can’t help but to just do it.”  Alright then I sighed, I shall let my gaurd down but only for those who come in the name of ‘JESUS CHRIST’.

Dearest Lord, how humbling and motivating a speech for any human being to hear. But I will need your grace and wisdom to get through with this expectation. Grace to bear up for your name sake; and wisdom to know the right words at the right time to liberate a yearning soul or soothe a sorrowful one. And for those that will come as messengers of darkness, I will be ready to roll.

אלוהים הוא איש של מלחמה!

Wonderful Words of Wisdom (Part Two)

“Enter by the narrow gate… Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life…”  Matthew 7:13-14

“The Christian life is gloriously difficult, and if we are going to live as disciples of Jesus, we have to remember that all efforts of worth and excellence are difficult. It takes a tremendous amount of discipline to live the excellent and worthy life of a disciple of Jesus in the realities of life. God’s salvation is a joyous thing, but it is also something that requires bravery, courage, and holiness. It tests us for all we are worth. God’s grace produces men and women with a strong family likeness to Jesus Christ, not pampered, spoiled weaklings.”   OC-DD

PART TWO: (Of part one- the abridged version)

As we begin to mature in the Lord, we cease to make all those confident resolutions which marked our original conversion. We no longer lavish promises of perpetual virtue, not even the expectation of an endowment of ‘grace for life’, but only a hope for the daily and hourly pittance to meet the daily and hourly temptation! At this point we have become humble but: all virtues are less formidable to darkness when we are aware that we have them. This especially is true of humility. At the moment, when we are really poor in spirit and the gratifying reflection comes into the fact that we are being humble; almost immediately pride comes in at our humility. If we awake to danger and try to smother this new form of pride, we become proud of our attempts and so on. ( Vicious Circle )

God Almighty by the virtue of Humility; as by all others, wants to turn man’s attention away from self to Him, and to man’s neighbours. All objection and self-hatred are designed, in the long run, solely for this end; but if the man remains concerned with himself, then self-contempt becomes the starting-point for contempt of others, and thus for gloom, cynicism and cruelty. The ultimate divine true end of humility is self-forgetfulness. It is not a certain kind of opinion (namely, a low opinion) of one’s talent and character. And for the existing talents, humility does not consist in trying to believe those talents to be less valuable than they really are. For in believing and depreciating the value of his talent, man has valued an opinion for some quality other than truth; thus introducing an element of dishonesty and make-believe into the heart of what threatens to become a virtue.

‘By this sordid method, thousands of humans have been brought to think that humility means: pretty women trying to believe they are ugly and clever men trying to believe they are fools.’ (Amen!!!)  And since what man is trying to believe might in some cases be manifest nonsense, he cannot succeed in believing it and his mind endlessly revolves around himself in an effort to achieve the impossible. And then we are right back to square one: self-indulgence and involvement; LORD HAVE MERCY! ( Italics mine)

Wonderful Words of Wisdom (Part One)

I came about the other day, some very old but powerful writings by a devout Christian. He was an Oxford and Cambridge Scholar in his days. The writings were mostly in King James English, so I attempted to abridge, while preserving the incredible messages that God Himself breathed on this man. It is always a great eye opener every time I read his work. Please enjoy and definitely embraced these wonderful words of wisdom!

The devil wants to detach men from themselves and God by imaginary and unreal tedium. God also wants to detach men from themselves, but in a different way. He loves the individual and sets an immeasurable value on the distinctness of each person. When God talks of losing-self, He only means abandoning the clamour of self-will. Once man has done that, God really gives him back his personality; showing that when man is wholly God’s, he will be more of himself than ever. Hence; while God is delighted to see man sacrificing even his innocent wills to God, God hates to see him drifting away from his own nature for any other reason.

Any strong personal taste, which is not actually sin, even if it is quite trivial; such as a fondness for collecting stamps or drinking ice-tea, or such things that have nothing of virtue in them but in essence, do possess a sort of innocence, humility and self-forgetfulness about them is empowering and builds character. The man who truly and disinterestedly enjoys any one thing in the world for its own sake, and without caring two-cents what other people say about it, is by that very fact fore-armed against some of the devil’s subtlest modes of attack. If the devil can get the man to abandon the people or food or books he really likes in favor of the ‘best’ people, the ‘right’ food, ‘the important’ books; then he can get him to act or exist void of inner convictions and character.

One of the devil’s most powerful weapon against man is to prevent him from doing anything about his convictions. As long as man does not convert into action his new repentance; it does not matter how much he thinks about it, wallows in it or talks about it, it remains fruitless and dead. Even writing is an excellent way of sterilizing seeds that God plants in a human soul. If man does anything but act, no amount of peity in his imagination and affections will be productive as long as his will is uninvolved. As a smart man has stated; active habits are strengthened by repetition, but passive ones are weakened. The more often a man feels without acting, the less he will be able ever to act and in the long run, the less he will be able to feel.
