God is Love

Posted on

“… For God is love.” (1 John 4:8 KJV), “… God is Love”. (1 John 4:16 KJV)

The Eternal and Holy God is Love, and love is of Him (1 John 4:7).  He cannot be separated from love because that is who He is even when we do not understand His ways. “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.” (Revelation 3:19 KJV) Likewise, we cannot be separated from God’s love. “Who shall separate us from the Love of Christ?” (Romans 8:35), “…Nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God.” (Romans 8:39 KJV) Every thing God has done for us and through us stems from His Love for us. “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us:..” (1 John 3:16)

“But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. (Romans 5:8 KJV) That Love drove Him to make the ultimate sacrifice of His dearly Beloved Son Jesus Christ who became the propitiation for our sins. “For God so loved the world, that he gave His only  begotten Son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). “In this was manifested the love of God towards us: because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him”. (1 john 4:9) “…Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood”. (Revelations 1:5)

God’s grand display of love at the ‘Cross of Calvary’ was to cultivate a relationship with us. He wanted to cleanse us and draw us close to His Holy nature. “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee.” (Jeremiah 31:3 KJV)

Most times in our human frailties, we doubt the love of God for us as He unfailingly assures us. ” I have loved thee, saith the LORD…” (Malachi 1:2 KJV) “As the Father hath loved Me, so I have loved you:…”. (John 15:9 KJV) Even Jesus Himself assured us of the love of God. “For the Father Himself loveth you…” (John 16:27 KJV) The blessed assurance of God’s love gives us hope for another day. “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Ghost…” (Romans 5:5 KJV). And last but not the least, (the attributes and character of God are inexhaustible). the love of God is our protection and confidence in a conflict ridden world. “…In all these things we are more than conquerors; through him that loved us”. (Romans 8:37 KJV)

May the love that God has shown us, cause us to rise above sin and mediocrity in this present age!

(Beware!) The Copy Cat Crew

Posted on

We all know what the copy cat does; or at least the name should give us a hint. it tries to/or does duplicate the real thing. the Merriam-Webster dictionary describes a copy-cat as a person who copies another’s behavior dress, or ideas. It may also extend to personality, gift and action.  Because it is a copy, it looks and seemingly acts so much like the real thing, but it is not the real thing. The copy may for a season successfully replicate the real thing, so much so that people are convinced it is the real thing; but it is still not the real thing. There is always one thing the copy cannot reproduce, the very essence and component of the real thing. In spiritual terms; it will be the anointing and the lasting effect and product of that anointing. It is like being around a fake, artificial and shallow person. If you hang around long enough, they would get tired of putting on the charade and behold; the real rat! (Mark 13:5, Romans 16:18)

In ‘Christendom’ a replica of the copy cat would be the spirit of the anti-Christ. Just like the copy, the anti-Christ spirit seeks to deceive and destroy, by pretending to have the same divinity, power and anointing as Christ Jesus. There are actually two types of anointing; the real anointing points to and exalts Christ and gives him the glory. It also leaves a peaceful, healing and hopeful afterglow, after it has broken the yoke and subdued the works of darkness. The fake show of some sought of anointing, brings attention to flesh and leaves every one in confusion, at odds, riled up, depleted and in the same state they came in or even worse. The anti-Christ spirit can get far, and often does.  After all, the Bible does warn us about the very elect being deceived in the last days (Matthew 24:24, Luke 21:8). I never thought that scripture would hit so close to home, with the training I had received from the Holy Ghost.  But for a season once, God allowed me to be side-stepped by an anti-Christ spirit (Titus 1:10). I believe God did that to allow room for repentance.  Because my Heavenly Father knew that when the temporary veil was lifted of me, it would be a ferocious war of which He would be  the Captain of Host.

There are people in the body or really out of the body; I do not know. They may be halting between two opinions.  they are living the ‘life’ in the world and talking the ‘talk’ in the church. They see the start of a move by the Spirit of a Holy God, and they are like little toddlers crying out for attention; ‘me too’! ‘me too’! They were perched on the wall the whole time waiting to see which side would take the prey, so they can come out with their false and empty praises. Their claim to fame might be a little ministry here and there or some talent of theirs.  Their deadened spiritual antenna makes them think it is flesh display time. So there they are in front of the line claiming they can perform too. Everything they have seen the Holy Spirit do through His followers, they are definitely capable of doing they claim. They expect to now match in tow with blood crested warriors, whom they previously thought nothing of. They would not be ignored in what they perceive as a time to be recognized. For this they are in the Kingdom, speedily sliding through the stress-free lane, trial avoiding avenue and stiff-necked boulevard. They live in the people pleasing mansion, in fellowship with every equally disobedient flesh but still keeping contact with the Lord’s Soldiers.

What they do not know is that God has been preparing Himself a holy remnant in the wilderness, desert place and fiery furnace. They were clothed with sorrow, shame, anguish and heart-break at which the clones probably laughed at. “I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested” (Zechariah 13:9). The display of power they see is a result of years of divinely appointed death and now resurrection. The shaking, beating, stumping and crushing of the olive plant.  Because God is no respecter of persons, you better believe they were invited. But they chose to skip the hard and painful parts. They wriggled out of their pre-heated furnaces. But now they want to join the parade half way through the procession without any sacrifice whatsoever… this writer is laughing hysterically 🙂
